One video a week - that's all you have to do

Georgia Popplewell

January: Week 2

As initiator of the thread, I guess I get to post first:

I shot this footage before I heard about Semanal, so this is more of an exercise in in creating a narrative of sorts out of material shot without any particular purpose in mind, and in playing with mood and atmosphere, rather than trying to discern any meaning (there isn’t any). It was also my first real test of the Aiptek GO-HD camcorder.

There's more info at my blog.

I don't really know what the "clock" is on these posts, but my week 2 video is now available at http://www.makevideo.org.uk/2008/01/15/semanal-week-2-road-to-brigh...

... its ending my second week but a little time before here's my "week two" video...

El Carnaval de Barranquilla en Colombia es una de las festividades culturales más conocidas y disfrutadas dentro del país. Tanto que los barranquilleros en la distancia se las ingenian para imitar su alegre fiesta.

Semanal08 - W2 : The End of Christmas

Just barely squeezed in Week 2. Would have made it no problem if Blip had been behaving last night. No time to rest now, straight on to Week 3.

All good things come to an end. Last weekend we pulled all the lights down, threw out the dried tree, packed away the decorations, and brought the house back to it's normal, everyday state. In the drab grey of this particular wet Sunday, it looked pretty dismal compared to the previous jolly, colorful state.

Shot on FLiP video recorder in 3iVX format.
Cut in Final Cut Pro in PhotoJPEG.
Color timing in Final Cut Pro.
Encoded in Episode to FLV and H264.
