One video a week - that's all you have to do

January: Week 2

As initiator of the thread, I guess I get to post first:

I shot this footage before I heard about Semanal, so this is more of an exercise in in creating a narrative of sorts out of material shot without any particular purpose in mind, and in playing with mood and atmosphere, rather than trying to discern any meaning (there isn’t any). It was also my first real test of the Aiptek GO-HD camcorder.

It has subtitles in Spanish which basically explain that on the weekend of January 6th, which marks the end of the holiday season, many families head up to the Río Medellín source to cook sancocho (a soup based on vegetables and chicken), hike and camp.
